Printed Matter’s NYABF

Dear friends,

dispersed holdings is thrilled to announce the launch of our book Speed of Resin at this weekend’s NYABF, Printed Matter's New York Art Book Fair at PS1. 

Speed of Resin documents our final days of programming at 134 Bowery 3S, where the artist Eva Hesse lived from 1965 until her death in 1970.

In January 2018, over 40 artists convened in Hesse’s former residence to celebrate her legacy and the end of dispersed’s tenure on the Bowery. We hosted a group show, a film screening, two performances, a walking tour of the neighborhood, and countless small acts of salutation and remembrance. The book is a testament to these happenings and an homage to Hesse.

Speed of Resin is one of 34 “Dome Spotlights” at this year’s NYABF - featured publications presented in expanded form on occasion of the Fair. In addition to fresh copies of Speed of Resin, we’ll have special commissions by dispersed exhibitors Merritt Meacham and Vanessa Thill. Come see us at Table B01!
